Our Story
We wanted Ukrainian honey to have a name of its own.
Brave Honey was born in 2023, not because the world needed another honey brand.
It began with a simple question.
How could one of the world's leading honey-producing countries have so few internationally recognised honey brands?
Ukrainian honey is enjoyed in dozens of countries.
Yet most people never realise it comes from Ukraine.
We wanted to change that.
Not simply by selling honey.
But by creating a brand that introduces the world to Ukraine through its flavours, its people and its traditions.
My name is Taras Kovalchuk.
For many years I worked on promoting Ukrainian tourism, gastronomy and local products.
I have always believed that the best way to discover a country is not only to see it, but to taste it.
One day I realised that honey could tell the story of Ukraine better than any travel guide.
That was the beginning of Brave Honey.
Not simply as a business.
But as an idea — to introduce the world to Ukraine through one of its greatest natural treasures.
For centuries, this land has inspired people to create, to care for what matters and to keep moving forward.
Farmers, craftspeople, beekeepers and Cossacks all became part of Ukraine's story.
There is an old Ukrainian legend that honey is the elixir of courage.
It is said to have given strength and spirit to those who travelled far, defended their homes or found the courage to begin again.
We believe every legend carries a piece of wisdom passed down through generations.
Perhaps that is why honey has always held such a special place in Ukrainian culture.
And perhaps that is why we chose the name Brave Honey.
Our greatest strength is people.
Brave Honey quickly became much more than one person's idea.
Beekeepers, food technologists, designers, partners and friends all became part of the journey.
Each brought their own passion and expertise.
Together, we built a community united by one purpose: to share Ukrainian honey with the world exactly as we know and love it.
We work with beekeepers across Ukraine, carefully select every harvest and test every batch for quality.
One our principle matters more than anything:
We only offer honey that we would proudly place on our own family table.
Honey was only the beginning.
Over time, we realised people wanted more than honey itself.
They wanted to share it.
To give it as a gift.
To tell stories through it.
Today, Brave Honey is more than honey.
We create creamed honey, honey delicacies, thoughtful gift collections and corporate gifts that help people discover Ukraine in a meaningful way.
We dream of a day when people around the world hear the words "Ukrainian honey" and immediately think of Brave Honey.
